Why
Reappraisal is antecedent-focused, reinterpret the interview as a challenge and a weaker response is generated in the first place, where suppression lets the response run and hides the display. Suppressors show cardiovascular arousal as high as people not regulating at all, worse memory for the episode, and less rapport. The composure is real and expensive.
