Why
Follow the wiring and the paradox dissolves: the left field goes to the right hemisphere, which moves the left hand and has no speech, and the callosum that would have carried it left is cut. When he says 'nothing' he is truthful, the speaking hemisphere genuinely saw nothing, and the one that knows cannot report.
