Sobre este curso

History II covers two long stretches of the past in short lessons, each followed by practice questions with instant feedback on causes, sequences and sources.

The medieval unit runs from late antiquity and the Germanic kingdoms, Byzantium and the making of the Islamic world, through Carolingian Europe and feudal society, to the renewal of Christendom, towns and commerce, the feudal monarchies and the crisis of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. The contemporary unit starts from what "contemporary history" means and follows demographic and economic change, the Atlantic and French revolutions, 1848 and nationalism, the extra-European world, colonialism and imperialism, and the path from 1870 to the Second World War.
